how do I dribble faster?

Speed Dribble

The speed dribble is used to advance the ball quickly up the floor, against little or no defensive pressure. The dribblers hand should be behind the ball pushing it in front, then running to catch up. This prevents a "palming" or "carrying over" violation. The speed dribble in the open floor can be a little higher than other dribbles. Control dribble moves should be around the knee, but a speed dribble can be waist high.

i disagree, speed dribbles are most powerful when dribbled at waist or below, when the balls that low it usually forces the player to move quicker since the ball is closer to the ground. No dribble should be as high as the chest unless your playing streetball in that case nothing matters. a high dribble is a slow dribble, which means it is a weak one. Anyone who plays basketball should know that a well controlled dribble is one waist height or below.

Pump your brakes...the initial instruction suggest that the "Speed dribble can be waist high". At no point was there an inference to dribbling the ball "As high as the chest". Take time to read before being critical.
