The key to learning how to shoot with a higher arch is to use your legs and not your arms to add height to the ball, as you flick your wrists. Flick the ball two to five feet high. The player can catch the ball with two hands as it comes down. After you practice this for two minutes, shoot the ball four to 10 feet straight up using the wrists and legs. Practice this drill for two minutes.
what does the arch of your body have to do with you making the shot??????????????
The "arch" refers to the arc on your shot, not your body. The higher the shot, the bigger the rim is when it finally lands. Shaq throws darts at the free-throw line, it shrinks the rim, he misses lots of free-throws.
I'm fourteen and I been trying to get a higher arc but, my shot is still flat. What do I do to make it better? I tried this already
Get more lift with your legs, shoot the ball up and out. It's that simple.
first u need to line up at the line and shoot the ball up at higher arc then when u shoot it up it but not all the way up u need to lift up your heal so that u are on your tippy tows
it is better to have a higher arc
You have to be at a good angle and 74 percent average to make a 2 foot shot
