The backboard sizes range from 48" to 54" wide. Quality portable hoops have clear polycarbonate or acrylic backboards. The higher end models also come with pole padding and backboard edge padding. Gauge of pole ranges from 3.5" to 4" diameter. You can fill a portable hoop base with either water or sand.
