A great way to learn the principles of movement and team play is by playing half court 3 on 3. A good game to play at practice to teach the concepts of offense and defense is a game called cutthroat. Cutthroat is usually played three-on-three or four-on-four and is hugely effective in teaching kids how to move. The rules are very simple and can be found in the following "tip link".
