My passion in life is simple: basketball. I have played the game since I could walk(even earlier if you count my first nerf hoop). I went on to play Varsity at Cocoa High, one of the top high schools in Central Florida. After school I was invited to tryout for several semi-pro teams including the Brevard Blue-Ducks and Palm Beach Imperials. Also I have coached at the YMCA in Titusville, FL. Two years ago I led my friends to the 2006 3-on-3 Hoop It Up World Championship, which was held at the Wide World of Sports in Orlando, FL. Most recently, I began work as a private basketball instructor at my current place of residence, Henderson, NV. I moved out west to pursue my other love in life, poker. Have had success in both Poker and Basketball during the course of my life and I don't plan on slowing down with either.

Interview
What books have most influenced your life? "Success is a Choice" by Rick Patino and "The Winner Within" by Pat Riley. Two great minds of the basketball world wrote two of my favorite books on both life and basketball.
Who are your favorite music artists? My musical tastes were born in the 90's. Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers...just to name a few. I also like old school hip-hop like Notorious B.I.G., A Tribe Called Quest, Cypress Hill. A wide variety to say the least.
What are your favorite websites and why? You'll usually find me on sports sites such as ESPN.com or Yahoo sports. I'm an avid fantasy sports guy, I play the big three: basketball, football, and baseball. Also I write screenplays so Zoetrope.com is another site I visit to workshop my different scripts.
Where else can people find you on the web? Probably on a variety of poker forums. I am also a student of that game, constantly trying to learn and improve on the different tournament strategies. It's a great game also, very complex. When I can't play basketball that's how I get my competitive fix. Poker.
What are your professional highlights? When it comes to basketball, my dreams of playing big time college ball were cut short by a serious ankle injury my senior year. So since that dream never happened, my biggest highlight after that failure would definitely be the Hoop It Up World Championship that I won back in '06. We beat some really great teams, including a team all the way from Brazil, and another college team that traveled cross country from Oregon. We shocked the Hoop It Up world that year and it meant a lot.
What advice do you have for the journey of life? Always believe in yourself. No matter what life throws at you, know that you will overcome, and know that you will succeed.
What are you most passionate about in life? Basketball. Without a doubt. It is what I feel I was put on this earth to do. Teaching everything that I have learned over the years gives me great pleasure, and I am constantly looking for ways to improve not only my game, but others around me.
What ticks you off? Quitters. People who get knocked down and then don't have enough heart to get up and try it again.
Any thoughts or ideas on living a greener life? Turn off the lights! Save energy by shutting lights off in the house. Probably #2 on list of things that tick me off, people who leave a room with the lights on.
What would people be surprised to know about you? That I am an aspiring screenwriter. Whenever I tell people that I've completed three separate scripts they can't believe it.
Philosophy
My philosophy in life and in basketball is the same. "Make the most of what you have". Luckily we are all different. We were all given different strengths and different weaknesses. The key is to not get caught up in the things you DON'T have, but instead, to make the most of what you DO have. I have lived this motto both on and off the court and it has served me very well over the years.
